It was just a little more than a year ago that Sourav Ganguly was appointed Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joint secretary. Today he has been appointed as the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal ( CAB ). A Lookback at events that unfolded in the past couple of days.

September 23 : Sourav Ganguly was at the state secretariat along with Dalmiya's son Abhishek and held an hour-long meeting with Mamata Banerjee. Dada however refused to comment on whether he would throw his hat as a candidate for the president's post. Here are some Exclusive Pictures of Dada at Nabanna on the 23rd.

Four days after Jagmohan Dalmiya’s demise, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced that former India captain Sourav Ganguly will succeed him as president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). The development came after Banerjee met Ganguly, along with the other CAB joint-secretary Subir Ganguly, treasurer Biswarup Dey and Dalmiya’s son Abhishek on Thursday.
