Pacer Ashok Dinda returned to his elements with a magnificent seven for 82, and a match haul of 10, to set up Bengal's emphatic eight-wicket win over Uttar Pradesh with more than a day to spare in their Group B Ranji Trophy league in Kolkata on Monday.
Dinda revealed to The Telegraph that he had words of encouragement from none other than Sourav Ganguly on Sunday evening. “Dadi had called yesterday… He didn’t say much, but said that I have been bowling well and I can do it for Bengal. Such words of encouragement help you gain in confidence,” the pacer said.
