Iconic Sourav Ganguly was the chief guest at the 25th edition of The Telegraph Schools’ Chess Championship, at Gorky Sadan, on Tuesday ( July 7). The former India captain has graced the occasion thrice before. Pictures below are a recollection of those events: 1. With 1996 winner Homarghya Hom Roy; 2. With 1999 champion Saptarshi Roy and 3. With Girish Kaushik in 2008.

Sourav Ganguly to attend his first MCC cricket committee meeting in England on July 13

All of us know very well that Dada was inducted into the MCC cricket commitee in October last year. Dada will indeed take part in his first meeting in England on July 13th,14th & 16th. 

News : Sourav Ganguly to join MCC's World Cricket committee from October 1, 2014

Speaking to The Telegraph on the Meeting, Dada Said, " I've just got an email from Mike Brearley, the chairman. Well, yes, it's an exhaustive list. The subjects to be discussed include corruption in cricket, the balance between bat and ball, the upcoming day-night Test in Adelaide, cricket in the Olympics, the West Indies' withdrawal from their tour of India last season, cricket in Pakistan, the global T20 leagues. There'll be so much to talk on, which is why the meeting will take up three days - July 13, 14 and 16. The final day coincides with the start of the Ashes Test at Lord's. I intend leaving for home that night itself."
