Pics : Sourav Ganguly Meets & Spends Time with Bengal Players at Eden Gardens - Sep 10, 2014

A day after returning from England, Sourav Ganguly was at Eden Gardens to take a note of Bengal’s preparations for the ensuing season.

The Cricket Association of Bengal’s joint secretary arrived around 11.30 am and headed straight to the Pankaj Gupta Indoor Training Centre where Bengal were practising. He spent around half-an-hour there before holding a series of meetings with the players and officials.

He enquired about the practice facilities, the problems being faced by the players and coaches and also looked into the reasons for the disastrous performance in the Buchi Babu meet in Chennai.

Captain Laxmi Ratan Shukla and coach Ashok Malhotra had a brief meeting with Sourav and that was followed by sessions with Manoj Tiwary, Shib Shankar Paul, Ashok Dinda and Mohammed Shami. Assistant coaches Joydeep Mukherjee and Ranadeb Bose were also part of the discussions.
